What Is Backlinks ? What Is Do-Follow & No-Follow Links ?

What Is Backlinks ?

Backlinks are the incoming links from different webpage to your page. It is also called incoming links, inbound links, inlinks & inwardlinks.

Backlinks perform an important part in Search-Engine-Optimization (SEO) for any blog and your Webpage. The main facor behind your seccessful Webpage and blog are your backlinks. In order to get high PR on Google you have to pay attention to building your backlinks.
There are two types of Backlinks.

  1. Do-Follow Backlinks.
  2. No-Follow Backlinks.
Do-follow BackLinks

Whenever Google-bot see your Links to other Webpages, link to your blog or your Webpage it will crawl all your content of your Webpage or blog but the condition is the link you post or the site owner post is Do-follow. If the link is Do-follow  on other sites then the crawlers follow your link and land on your webpage or blog. If you want High PR on Google then you have to pay more attention on Do-Follow Links.

No-follow BackLinks

Whenever google-bot see your links to other Webpages, link to your blog or Webpage and the link is No-Follow then crawlers ignored that link to search engine. If you want to place the link to other webpage on your site, just put the No-Follow attribute because you dont want to give away your blogs link juice to other sites.

How to place No-Follow Attribute ?

Just put this attribute if you want to make a No-Follow backlink:

rel="nofollow"

For example:

You make an article and you want to link on other blogs then your link is look like this:

Now i am [ here you place the link ] telling you about  and you link in HTML is look like this

( <a href="http://murinonews.blogspot.com/2013/07/how-to-create-tables-in-blogger-using.html" target="_blank">telling you about</a> )

Place  just before the href:  rel="nofollow"

( <a rel="nofollow" href="http://murinonews.blogspot.com/2013/07/how-to-create-tables-in-blogger-using.html" target="_blank">telling you about</a> )

In this way you make a no-follow backlinks and your blog link juice won't give away to other sites.

How to place Do-Follow Attribute ?

If you place the link on your site then by-default it is Do-Follow link, but if you put the No-Follow attribute then your link is No-Follow backlink.

Now the more important thing is how to check the backlinks whether it is do-follow or no-follow. There are so many to tricks to find the link whether it is Do-follow or no-follow, but here is also the free plugin for Chrome, Mozilla & Safari Browser which i use it for many years. You can Download these plugins from here:

Google Chrome
Mozilla Firefox
Safari

There is also a trick to find the Do-follow and No-follow backlinks without using any plugin,

In Google Chrome

Find the link place the cursor over it, and hit right click, and then click on Inspect Element. After this the element tab is open there you can find the link is do-follow or no-follow.

No-follow

Do-Follow

In Mozilla Firefox

Find the link place the cursor over it, and hit right click, and then click on Inspect Element. After this the Inpector tab is open there you can find the link is do-follow or no-follow.

In Blogger all out going links are Do-Follow by default, to change it no-follow, you just click the Ad re="nofollow" Attribute to make a No-Follow link.

Just place the No-follow attribute to all your outgoing links, to get the high PR on Google. Do not Place the No-follow Attribute to your internal page links.
I hope now your mind is clear about the Backlinks, Do-follow and No-follow Backlinks.
If you still have any confussion then post comment.

Thanks !!
